Eugenio Barba is one of the leading figures in the contemporary theater world.

Known as a student and friend of Jerzy Grotowski and founder and director of Odin Teatret, is considered, along with Peter Brook, the last living master of the Western theater. [
Barba has changed the concept of work initiated by the actor Polish director, through a theatrical practice that leads the actor in touch with their inner search. The founding of the Odin Teatret

fits into that universe of experimental theater of that period that will then be named after the Third Theatre. The real drama of this group is their time to the comparison between different cultures through art and searched for the specific theater. The educational approach is summarized in statement: learning to learn.

The group's research builds on the need for a deepening of the actor's work, with particular emphasis on training, and to free the time and the production of a show, often very narrow. Odin actors, mostly self-taught or expelled from the academies of their countries, have over the years developed an educational project based on the comparison and the acquisition of different cultures and performing traditions. To do this, have made many trips in search of the foundations of the art performing arts from an anthropological perspective.

Since the seventies the Odin Teatret 'swap' his knowledge of theater, in the form of sessions commencement of training and performances, with the different communities that host, which in turn provide the group dances and local music (and own a real cultural exchange) involving traditional and religious ceremonies.

Pedagogical research has benefited (called to hold seminars and meetings) of the collaboration of international artists such as Etienne Decroux, Jean-Louis Barrault, Jacques Lecoq, Dario For, Krejca, Luca Ronconi, the Living Theatre and Jerzy Grotowski; and theatrical disciplines with many teachers in Asia, from Bali, Java, Korea, Japan, India and China.

serataalle During the 20 books will be presented "burn a house, home of a director" by E. Barba and "aqua stones "by J. Varley The meeting is open to the public.
